Our Story

At Island Cocoa, our journey began with a shared vision — to make Madagascar’s cocoa a global symbol of quality and authenticity.
From the fertile soils of the Sambirano Valley to the hands of chocolate makers worldwide, we connect tradition with innovation, farmers with global markets, and quality with integrity.

Driven by passion and purpose, our team works hand in hand with local farming communities to bring out the finest expression of Madagascar’s unique terroir — cocoa that’s rich in flavor, responsibly sourced, and transparently traded.

Every bean we export tells a story — of the land that nurtures it, the farmers who harvest it, and the craftsmanship that transforms it into world-class chocolate.

At Island Cocoa, we don’t just trade cocoa — we share Madagascar’s essence with the world.

Our Journey From Farm to World

Island Cocoa was born in the heart of Madagascar’s Sambirano Valley, where generations of farmers have cultivated some of the world’s finest cocoa. Seeing the gap between local farming communities and international chocolate makers, we set out to create a bridge built on trust, quality, and transparency.

Today, we work hand-in-hand with farmers, improving post-harvest practices and delivering premium, traceable cocoa beans to global craft chocolate brands.

A journey rooted in nature, supported by people, and shaped by purpose
